F1 Esports in Disarray

F1 Esports in Disarray
Sparks are going to fly for the F1 Esports series

I called it a while back with the Esports situation in sim racing, it appears that the next event for the F1 esports series has been cancelled. I noticed a while back that the official website was not outputting content for the upcoming season which seemed odd. Not only that, the news after event 1 took nearly a week for it to go up on the official esports site.

This has been a slow burn on a downward spiral for F1 Esports, it needs to be put to bed, or awoken with all senses in full alert mode and ready. What we don’t want, is a week-to-week pity party of the should have or could have been.

The remaining schedule for the racing season, while not yet officially confirmed, was eagerly anticipated by teams, drivers, and fans alike. This anticipation was particularly high for the second event, which was scheduled for the upcoming weekend.

For some of the drivers, I sympathize that this was a gateway to bigger things but let me ask you this. Those team owners knew this was going to happen, you cannot be part of a said big team and not know what’s going on with the series. Like someone said a while back, “we have sponsors we have to please”.

All we are getting know is the fallout of something you knew about, so please do not come out with your sincere tweets and sympathy….you knew and know what’s going on.

As an independent website, we invite any of the teams, drivers or sponsors to voice their opinions here, we are not bound and gagged to freely say and publish what we want, we openly invite you to have a voice here, get in touch with us.

For the fans, we respect that you love your Esports racing, but that alone does not keep the ship afloat for these series.

However, recent developments have cast a shadow over these plans. This uncertainty extends far beyond the race track, impacting numerous individuals and businesses.

For many whose livelihoods are intricately linked to the series, there is now a pressing concern: the real possibility that the season may not proceed as planned. This situation leaves teams and sponsors in a state of anxious uncertainty, awaiting clarity on the future of the season.
