The championship decision in Raceroom came down to the final race between Tim Jarschel (Falken Simracing Team) and Nikodem Wisniewski (G2 Esports).
The 2024 DTM Raceroom championship came down to a dramatic final race showdown between Tim Jarschel of Falken Simracing Team and Nikodem Wisniewski of G2 Esports. When the virtual racing season began, few could have predicted such an intense title fight.
From the very first race, Jarschel stamped his authority on the championship. The young German driver led the standings wire-to-wire, impressing with remarkable consistency. Over the course of the season, he racked up 3 race wins and an impressive 8 podium finishes.
However, Wisniewski ensured Jarschel could take nothing for granted. The G2 Esports sim racer kept him honest, never allowing the gap to grow too large. It all came down to the final race for the championship to be decided.
In an ironic twist, Jarschel struggled on that decisive day, recording a 15th and 3rd place finish – easily his worst showing of the year. But it proved just enough as his superior consistency paid off. Jarschel was crowned the 2023 Raceroom champion by the narrowest of margins.
His prize was a well-earned €5,000 in prize money. But perhaps even more significantly, Jarschel also earned the opportunity to test a real-life GT4 car provided by Dörr Motorsport. It’s a chance for the talented sim racer to showcase his skills outside of the sim racing.
