EA Sports F1 24 Gameplay Video

A new gameplay video has been released on the upcoming EA Sports F1 24 racing title. With the gaming title being released on May 31st, lets see what is in store.

The upcoming EA Sports F1 2024 game is setting a new standard for authenticity in the racing simulation genre within this gameplay video. Through significant updates and enhancements across various aspects of the game’s physics and vehicle modelling, players can expect an experience that more closely mirrors the real-world demands and intricacies of Formula 1 racing.

At the core of these improvements is an overhauled suspension model that better reflects the behaviour of real F1 cars under different steering conditions. Gone are the days of simplified, one-size-fits-all suspension dynamics; now, players will need to account for the nuances of weight transfer, load, and other factors that impact a car’s handling and responsiveness.

Similarly, tire wear and thermal simulation have received significant attention, with the game now offering a more realistic depiction of how heat and variable track conditions can impact grip levels over the course of a race. Players will need to carefully manage their tire strategy, accounting for factors like temperature build-up and degradation to maintain an edge on the competition.

The aerodynamic modelling has also been reworked from the ground up, with Codemasters leveraging computational fluid dynamics to accurately simulate the intricate airflow patterns around the cars. This includes improved slipstreaming effects, as well as a more authentic representation of the drag reduction system (DRS) and its impact on straight-line speed.

But the realism doesn’t stop there. F1 2024 also features redesigned vehicle systems, such as energy harvesting, throttle maps, and ERS modes, allowing players to employ advanced race strategies and better manage their car’s performance over the course of a grand prix.

In addition to the physics and vehicle modelling improvements, the game also expands setup customization and telemetry utilization, giving players more tools to optimize their car’s performance for each unique circuit. And for the first time, the characteristics of official teams and their cars are reflected, with certain teams and designs offering track-specific advantages.

Multiple F1 world champion Max Verstappen provided direct development support and feedback to the F1 24 team at Codemasters in an effort to ensure the driving experience captures the intense demands of racing a real-world Formula One car. His insights are invaluable in fine-tuning the tire models, aerodynamics, engine performance, and other vehicle dynamics.

The deep dive also teases improvements to the game’s immersive audiovisual presentation, allowing players to feel even more embedded in the loud, intense atmosphere of Grand Prix racing.
