CC Sim Racing AWRS
On Monday 12-09-2022, was the final round from the CC Sim Racing All Womens Racing Series. 2 x 15 minutes at Spa Francorchamps. Sophie Aeronwen had the championship lead all season, and I was the runner up, in theory I still had a chance at the championship, but realistically not. I had a good start and was driving at P4. After a good overtake I finished P3 in the first race. The second race was with a reversed grid start, I started P10. I had a very good start but I lost the car out of nowhere, and then I was back last.. After some overtaking, there was a questionable move from a driver, who tried to push me into the pitlane, lost a lot of places and time again.

The last corner of the race was a mess, my feet were off the braking pedal, and I noticed it too late. I brake too late and was going too wide, the game decided to reset me, and that cost me loads of time and I finished P6. Sophie won the championship, well deserved, she was by far the fastest! I finished second. Season 2 of the CC Sim Racing All Women Racing Series is starting on Monday 26-09-2022, we all are driving the Volkswagen Scirocco GT4, and we are allowed to drive our own livery, this means I’m driving my orange Scirocco!!

KNAF Digital Race
On Monday 12-09-2022, I also drove the KNAF Digital Race at Daytona Road Course. I qualified for division 1, the level was very high, and I hoped that I wouldn’t finish last. We all drove in the Jaguar GT3, a nice car, that I drove for the first time! I qualified P10, which was already better than I thought! I drove a good race, at my own pace, and at the end of the race I found some better race pace! I saw them cutting a lot on the Busstop chicane, and I gained a lot of time with that! I finished P9, which was a lot better than I thought! I enjoyed the races, I’ll try to drive this every week!

Tegiwa Club Enduro Championship
On Friday 09-09-2022, we drove a testday at Anglesey, to prepare for the race on Sunday at Anglesey. What an amazing track, up and down, and a beautiful view!!
After learning the great track, I felt great and a lot more prepared for the race!! On Sunday 11-09-2022, was the Tegiwa Club Enduro Championship at Anglesey. Unfortunately, my teammate Steve Crompton had food poisoning and decided not to race. I needed to drive the 2 hours race on my own, which was going to be tough but I was still looking forward to racing on this stunning track! I drove a very good practice/qualifying session in the dry, I gained a lot of pace compared to Friday and the gap was only 1.5 seconds to the next car in class, which means a lot closer. Unfortunately, before the race was starting, it was going to rain.. I had semi dry tires on the car, but no full wets because we didn’t have them with us. When I was starting the race, the track was greasy. After 4 laps, the car was getting more loose, and there was less and less grip. The car was very difficult to drive.

Unfortunately, after less than 30 minutes in the race, I lost the rear and another driver couldn’t avoid me. It was not high speed, but a nasty hit on the right front side, it turned me 90 degrees and the wheel broke, which meant my race was over. I felt very sorry for the team, they worked so hard to get the car ready. I’m thankful to the organization, marshalls, paramedics, the team, and Sophie for all their help and taking good care of me! I was going with the ambulance to the hospital, for an x-ray from my neck and back. At 21:00 BST I was out of the hospital, I was lucky, and only had bruises, sore, and blue! I learned from this, and I’m looking forward to the next race on the 9th of October at Oulton Park.

  • 23-09-2022: GTWS Nations Cup
  • 26-09-2022: KNAF Digital Race
