Additionally, for the first time in the series’ history, you’ll be able to race the fastest motorsport around with players across all platforms as the full launch of cross-play arrives in F1® 22 later this week.

In order to take advantage of cross-play, you’ll need to enable it in the Game Options > Settings menu. On Xbox, you may need to enable cross-play in your account settings. Details on how to do this can be found here.

After enabling cross-play, when you select Social Race you will have the ability to invite and join other sessions across all platforms. Disabling cross-play will only match you with those in your console family (e.g. PlayStation®5 and PlayStation®4).

The Friends Hub is where you can review any pending friend requests or session invites. You can also search for and add friends as well as those you’ve recently raced against. Friends Hub can be accessed from the Main Menu by clicking the left thumbstick (or F10 on a keyboard) and then selecting the Friends Option.

As a session host, in order to invite someone to your lobby from another platform, head to the Invite Friends option in the lobby and invite them from there. They’ll receive an invite through the Friends Hub.

If you come across any bugs or issues, please visit Answers HQ where you can report these for a member of the team to look into. Make sure you check our Community-raised issues thread where you can track upcoming tweaks and changes here.

See you out on track!
