MotoGP 2023 Esports Pro Draft Challenge Starts Today

Think you got the skill and speed to challenge all and get into the 2023 MotoGP Esports Championship, now is the time as the pro draft challenge starts today.

The 2023 MotoGP eSports Championship kicks off this week as the Pro Draft begins with the first Online Challenge starting on Wednesday 28th June!

Worried by what to do during the five-week summer break? Do not fear, as the MotoGP™ eSport Championship kicks off this week, with gamers from around the world invited to take part in the Pro Draft’s first Online Challenge, which starts on Wednesday 28th June.

Back for a seventh successive year, the MotoGP™ eSport Championship will pit the fastest gamers on the planet together for the Global Series. But before then they must progress through the Pro Draft, a series of time attacks in the form of Online Challenges.

The first of the three will take place where the first part of the 2023 MotoGP™ season just ended: the TT Circuit Assen. And what better machine to take to the limits around the historic Dutch track than the bike which won Sunday’s race: Pecco Bagnaia’s Ducati Desmosedici GP23. Just like last Sunday, weather conditions will be sunny and dry.

Almost all options are pre-set for the Online Challenge, and only the fastest lap will be recorded, no matter how many times the ‘Time Attack’ session is completed over the course of the Challenge period. Ideal trajectory and rewind will be unavailable during time-trials in the premier-class – meaning pure gaming skill is what’s required to beat the fastest in the world. The machine and rider are also pre-selected and designed specifically for each Challenge period.

When competing in each Online Challenge, gamers will be classified in one of two categories: those from Europe and those from the Rest of the World. The gamers setting the fastest times will be awarded points. The first Online Challenge will run for five days until Sunday 2nd July.

At the end of the third Online Challenge the 15 gamers with the most points in the European classification and the 7 from the Rest of the World classification (plus winner of last year’s Rising Stars Series) will make up the riders that qualify for the Draft Selection with 11 of those guaranteed a spot in the Global Series!
