Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, also known as The Race to the Clouds, is one of the most renowned hill climb races in the world. It takes place in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, USA with the event being held annually and attracts top-notch drivers and racing teams from various parts of the globe.

The challenging 12.42-mile route includes 156 turns, varying surfaces, and an elevation gain of over 4,700 feet, ending at the 14,115-foot summit of Pikes Peak.

Creators notes:

  • Mostly minor things adjusted/updated.
  • Extra background trees and some roadside mesh nabbed from an anonymous update for v1 found on the web
  • Under tree shadows added to nearby Y trees
  • Multiple visible mesh holes plugged
  • Adjusted multiple texture mappings to hairpins
  • Replace/adjust roadside textures/shader settings
  • Separated spectator vehicle lights to avoid headlights projecting from brakes
  • Overall colour shades/palette/saturation adjusted to be closer to IRL
  • Grass FX turned way the fk down to again attempt to be closer to IRL
  • Adjust distant vista texture mapping and stray normals
  • Threw in a new set of cams
