For 2023 Season 1 in iRacing, you will get a new free car and tracks in the base content. The Toyota GR86 Cup car will make its debut.

As part of its industry-leading offering of hundreds of cars and tracks from around the world, iRacing offers dozens of pieces of content included for free with all active subscriptions. For 2023 Season 1, an all-new car—the Toyota GR86 Cup car, which will make its real-world debut next year—will join the base package as free content, while VIRginia International Raceway and Wild West Motorsports Park will also be granted to all users as included content for the first time.
The Toyota GR86 is part of Toyota’s all-new GR Cup, a single-make racing series that will visit seven tracks in its inaugural season in 2023. Each GR86 originates as a factory vehicle before being transformed into a high-performance racing machine for action at some of the most prominent road and street circuits in America. The inaugural schedule kicks off at the end of March at Sonoma Raceway and concludes on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course in October.
Fresh off hosting the inaugural iRacing SCCA Runoffs earlier this fall, VIRginia International Raceway will move to base content for 2023 Season 1. The shift allows it to join fellow IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship tracks like Lime Rock Park and WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, as well as prominent global venues from multiple continents, as included content for all iRacers. In the weeks after the 2023 Season 1 build, VIR will also receive extensive art and surface updates via an all-new scan that will overwrite the current version of the track, so users looking to preserve replays will need to capture content before the update. The current version of the track will serve as free content until the updated version is released.
Wild West Motorsports Park was one of iRacing’s original short course off-road releases in the summer of 2019, and will move to base content as part of a larger effort to improve the Dirt Road experience. As the first short course track to move to base content, the shift will allow Wild West to move back into Rookie level events, putting Pro 2 Lite action back on off-road tracks and giving iRacers the most realistic possible experience as they attempt to meet their MPR and move up to D class. Additional Dirt Road configurations have also been built for the free tracks at Daytona International Speedway and (Legacy) Phoenix Raceway, eliminating the Joker Lap from the existing rallycross tracks to enable the Rookie Pro 2 Lite series to run with a consistent rule set.
Users who have purchased both Virginia International Raceway and Wild West Motorsports Park within 90 days of the tracks becoming free content will receive a full refund of their purchase price in iRacing credits. Users who have purchased the tracks within 91 days and one year of them becoming free content will receive $5.00 in iRacing credits.
