Honda Civic Type R TCR Assetto Corsa Mod

Auto Draft

If there was ever a race car that I would want to drive, the Honda Civic Type R TCR would be up there, guess this Assetto Corsa mod will have to do.

Ok, I have to be real with you here, the Honda Civic Type R TCR is one of my favourite race cars, time to fire up Assetto Corsa once again with this mod. The touring car racing scene is one that demands precision engineering, peak performance, relentless innovation and savage competition at times.

Engine and Transmission

At the heart of the Civic Type R TCR lies a formidable 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine. This powerhouse generates an impressive 340 horsepower and 410 Nm (302 lb-ft) of torque, delivering the kind of performance that turns heads on the track.

Paired with a sequential racing gearbox designed for competitive racing, the transmission ensures rapid, precise gear changes, optimizing power delivery and enhancing the driving experience.

Performance on the Track

Weighing in at approximately 1,285 kg (2,833 lbs), the Civic Type R TCR is relatively light for a touring car, which contributes significantly to its agility and speed. Although top speed can vary depending on the track and setup, it generally reaches around 250 km/h (155 mph).

While acceleration times like 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) are not typically specified for racing cars, the Civic Type R TCR focuses on delivering exceptional lap times and overall performance on the circuit rather than straight-line speed.

Competition and Achievements

The Honda Civic Type R TCR has carved out a significant presence in various TCR series worldwide, including the FIA World Touring Car Cup (WTCR), TCR Europe, and numerous national and regional championships. Its balance of power, handling, and reliability has made it a preferred choice among racing teams.
