Texas Truck Racing CMS Sunday Night iRacing Series

Texas Motor Speedway will be the battleground for the next round of the CMS Sunday Night Truck Series in iRacing on April 20th, 2025.

The CMS Sunday Night iRacing Truck Series is heading to Texas Motor Speedway for the third race of the 2025 Season 2. Circle Sunday, April 20th, 2025, on your calendar for some exciting oval track action. All times listed below are in the Eastern US Time Zone, so remember to adjust for your local time (that means a late night or early morning for those of us in the UK!).

Here’s the Race Day Schedule:

  • 8:15 PM: Drivers will get their trucks ready during the Practice Session, which lasts for a full hour.
  • 9:15 PM: The pressure turns up for the Qualifying Session. Each driver will have two laps to set their fastest time over a quick five-minute period.
  • 9:25 PM: The main event! The Race is scheduled to run for approximately one hour and 55 minutes, covering a total of 167 laps around the Texas oval.

Important Race Details:

  • Everyone will use the same truck setup. This fixed setup, named “texas_2020_oval.sto,” ensures a level playing field.
  • The race will start with a rolling start.
  • Each driver gets one chance for a fast repair if their truck gets damaged.
  • The weather conditions will be realistic, adding an element of unpredictability.
  • The track surface will change dynamically as the race progresses, affecting grip levels.
  • DT every 20x so behave yourselves!
  • All trucks will start with 100% fuel capacity.
  • Teams will have a total of four tire sets to use throughout the entire race.
  • If the race ends under caution, there will be one attempt at a Green/White/Checker finish.

Keep in mind the time difference! Here’s when you can tune in:

  • 8:15pm – Practice Session
  • 9:15pm – Qualifying Session
  • 9:25pm – Race (1 hour 55 minutes)

Track Notes:

  • The entire first lap is designated as an “Orange Zone.” Officials will review any close contact during this lap after the race, and drivers could face penalties for questionable moves.
