Sim racing Is Too Hard For Lewis Hamilton

You would think sim racing for Lewis Hamilton would be a piece of cake right? Well, it’s not easy to justify the transition from racing to simulation.

So being a Formula 1 multiple world champion, you would think that jumping into sim racing would be a piece of cake. However, Lewis sees and feels no benefit to sim racing or simulator testing as he cannot see what the car is doing. That is a very interesting take on this, as Max Verstappen seems to dominate anything he drives in the virtual world. In this video Boosted Media Clips talks through in brief how this affects Lewis Hamilton in the virtual simulation world of sim racing.

No Simulators here

We can go back many years in motorsport history and look at how drivers/racers tested their vehicles and see that simulators were not a thing of the past. It was literally fuel the car, chuck your helmet on and go do some laps. After that, a guy in a peak cap smoking a pipe would take down some notes on a clipboard and pass it to the mechanic. Once that was done, a few spanners, spit and grease was applied and away you go…job done.

On the flipside to Lewis, Max loves his sim racing and has been very successful
