The long awaited and anticipated VRC F1 2022 Formula Alpha Assetto Corsa Mod is finally here, but is it any good?
To really appreciate the VRC F1 2022 Formula Alpha Assetto Corsa Mod, you need to spend some time with it. In the sim racing world, I’ve tried many mods. Some give you instant satisfaction, while others require you to learn how the car handles and its physics.
My first impression of this vehicle is its bold design. With aerodynamic features all over and smooth curves that give it a pleasing look, it’s easy to tell it apart from older F1 cars. One thing I’ve always found challenging with modern F1 cars is their large size. However, this is just how current F1 cars are, not a flaw in VRC’s design.
The cockpit is just as you’d expect: small, but with good visibility and everything you need within reach. The sound is great, with crackles, backfires, and all the noises you’d expect from a current-generation F1 car.
How does it drive? Well, like any car, it demands a certain level of skill. If you just want to jump in, push the gas pedal hard, and attack the track, you can. But like all F1 cars, it requires a delicate touch. At first, you might think you’re fast. However, once you understand the car’s behaviour, you’ll find yourself going even quicker. I suggest adjusting your driving style to get the most out of this car. You’ll be glad you did.
