RaceRoom has introduced a patch that focuses on AI precision, improved vehicle mechanics, and several visual tweaks.
RaceRoom has released its newest update features significant changes aimed at enhancing gameplay through AI improvements, mechanical tweaks, and visual adjustments. The patch addresses multiple vehicles and tracks, providing a more refined and realistic driving experience. Key highlights include the optimization of AI behaviour, ensuring that players face more competitive and reliable opponents, as well as mechanical adjustments that improve vehicle handling and responsiveness.
Key Vehicle Updates:
Several cars received mechanical fine-tuning, including the Alfa Romeo 155 TI DTM 1995 and the AMG-Mercedes C-Klasse DTM 1995, where the mechanical trail was reduced, improving their handling dynamics. The Mazda RT24 P DPi had its rear roll centre height lowered by 10mm, enhancing traction during slow turns, while tweaks to its dampers further improve control. The Formula RaceRoom X-22 received suspension kinematic changes, raising the front roll centre height much higher than the rear and adding more anti-dive than anti-squat, leading to more balanced performance.
Visual upgrades also played a major role in the update. The Chevrolet Corvette Greenwood 1977 saw improvements to the running lights and glass surfaces, while the Nissan Skyline GTR R32 got an overhaul to its headlight flares. In addition, the Volvo 240 Turbo had its running lights visuals enhanced.
AI Enhancements:
AI improvements form a large portion of this patch, affecting numerous vehicle classes and tracks. The BMW M1 Procar, Mazda MX5, Formula RaceRoom Junior, and many others now feature more intelligent and competitive AI opponents, providing a more challenging racing experience. Several track-specific updates were also made, such as new AI lines introduced for Daytona and Hungaroring, alongside repositioning of Time Attack spawns for a more seamless flow during gameplay.
Track Adjustments:
In terms of tracks, Salzburgring saw fixes for floating tire stacks and lap cut issues, while Portimao‘s 3D grass was corrected for a more authentic look. Notably, Motegi had a bug resolved where green concrete was incorrectly treated as grass, and Suzuka and RedBull Ring also received shadow and layout corrections. These refinements aim to boost immersion and provide a more visually cohesive experience.
