February brings a wave of fresh content to Le Mans Ultimate, expanding LMGT3 options and enhancing gameplay based on player feedback.
Le Mans Ultimate is adding more LMGT3 cars to the grid. On February 25th, a fourth DLC pack of 2024 will bring 3 new LMGT3 cars, including one that’s completely FREE. Along with these new vehicles, players will get an improved display based on community feedback. AI opponents in single-player mode are also getting smarter.
More Options for LMGT3 Fans
LMGT3 class has become most popular in Le Mans Ultimate since being added last year. Now, Studio 397 is adding 3 brand new cars to give players more choices and make races more exciting.
2024 Pack 4 includes two cars from famous Le Mans brands:
- Porsche 911 GT3 R LMGT3
- Aston Martin Vantage AMR LMGT3
Additionally, all players will get Ford Mustang LMGT3 for FREE! This V8-powered car has been highly requested by fans. These new additions offer different driving styles, giving players fresh experiences on track.
2024 Season Pack 4 will cost £5.99 / €6.99 / $7.49 on Steam starting February 25th. However, if you want all content, a full 2024 DLC Season Pass is available for £39.99 / €45.99 / $48.99 – saving you about 25% compared to buying packs separately.
Season Pass includes all five packs with four new 2024 Hypercars, four classic tracks, and seven GT3 cars. If you already bought Season Pass, you’ll automatically get new content on February 25th, plus upcoming Pack 5 expected in early May.
Better Tire Physics for LMGT3 Cars
Game physics now feature improved tire models based on feedback from real-world drivers and data. Currently, these improvements apply only to LMGT3 class, but other classes will get similar updates later.
What’s better? Cars now feel more realistic and stable, letting you drive confidently throughout your race stint. Balance has shifted more toward rear wheels, creating better stability and allowing for more aggressive car setups.
Furthermore, there’s increased sensitivity on rear tires, reducing unwanted “push” feeling at higher speeds. Tires now lose grip more predictably when pushed beyond limits.
Developers have also increased thermal degradation, which means aggressive sliding will hurt your tires more during longer races. Taking care of tires is now more important for success!
Improved On-Screen Information
A major update in this release improves information display while driving. Standing displays now show tire compound and virtual energy data. You’ll also see if nearby drivers have upcoming penalties.
Multi-Function Display (MFD) now makes it easier to spot which cars are competing directly with you. Cars about to lap you show in red gradient, while cars a lap behind appear in blue.
In top-right corner, you’ll now see your “last lap” time to help track performance. Delta timing feature now has a reset button, and sector splits offer more accuracy. During races, you’ll also see estimated laps remaining based on top category.
One of most requested features – a damage display – has finally arrived. It shows four states:
- White: normal
- Yellow: minor damage
- Red: major damage
- Flashing red: missing component (probably time for a pit stop!)
