iRacing has unveiled its 2024 Season 4 build, introducing new cars, tracks, and game improvements.

iRacing has released the 2024 Season 4 build, packed with new content and performance updates to enhance the experience for all players. Key highlights include the addition of three new cars, two new tracks, and several improvements to gameplay mechanics.

New Cars:

  • BMW M4 G82 GT4: This car joins the GT4 grid in multi-class series. Owners of the previous F82 GT4 model will receive credit compensation, and the F82 will continue to be supported in the Production Car Challenge.
  • Mini Stock and Dirt Mini Stock: A versatile new oval car with a 2.3-liter engine producing 200 horsepower, suitable for both paved and dirt tracks, and available for free to all subscribers.

New Tracks:

  • Cadwell Park Circuit: A British circuit known for motorcycle and small-car racing, featuring four different configurations. It’s available during Week 13, including a special test with the Legends car.
  • Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps: The track has been re-scanned for 2024, with new configurations added. Existing owners of Spa will receive the new versions at no extra cost, while new buyers will get both old and updated versions.
  • Circuit Zolder: Updated visually for the 2024 season to match current standards.

Rain Racing: Rain-enabled cars like the BMW M4 G82 GT4, Ford Mustang FR500S, and Renault Clio have been introduced. Additionally, the new spotty rain option in timeline weather mode allows for more realistic, unpredictable weather.

AI Racing: AI functionality has expanded, allowing players to launch AI sessions from official races. New cars and tracks, including the re-scanned Spa and all Cadwell configurations, are AI-enabled.

Game Improvements:

  • A new Multi-Class Distributed Splits Algorithm aims to enhance grid diversity while maintaining competitive balance.
  • Tire Pre-Conditioning for standing starts provides pre-warmed tires and brakes to improve race starts.
  • Natural Clutch Variance adds small bite-point differences for a more realistic clutch feel.
  • A new Audio Codec reduces file size without compromising sound quality.
  • Shared Lone Qualify Replay lets players view all drivers’ qualifying laps in replay mode.

These updates aim to refine both the gameplay experience and visual realism, ensuring continued player engagement for iRacing gamers.
