Check out this great Honda NSX Assetto Corsa mod, perfect for those free roam cruises or track day blasts.
I am a big fan of this Honda NSX mod for Assetto Corsa, it really does not disappoint. The original Honda NSX was one of those cars that comes along every now and then and made a real statement.
The original Honda NSX, launched in 1990, was a groundbreaking sports car that challenged the established European marques. It featured a lightweight aluminium monocoque chassis, a mid-mounted V6 engine with Honda’s VTEC (Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control) system, and rear-wheel drive.
This combination delivered impressive handling and a unique driving experience. Power output for the initial 3.0-liter models was around 270 horsepower, allowing for a 0-60 mph acceleration in about 5.5 to 7.3 seconds, depending on the transmission (5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic).
The 3.2-liter version, introduced later, bumped the power to approximately 290 horsepower. The original NSX was praised for its balanced handling, comfortable ride for a sports car, and everyday usability.
The second-generation Honda NSX, which debuted in 2016, took a different technological approach. It features a hybrid powertrain, combining a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine with three electric motors and a nine-speed dual-clutch transmission, resulting in an all-wheel-drive system called SH-AWD (Super Handling All-Wheel Drive).
The total system output is around 573 horsepower, enabling a 0-60 mph sprint in approximately 3.0 seconds and a top speed of around 191 mph.
This modern NSX emphasizes advanced technology for both performance and handling, offering instant torque from the electric motors and sophisticated torque vectoring capabilities. It also has the ability to drive at low speeds on electric power alone for short distances.
