The hunt for the world’s greatest Gran Turismo racers is nearing as the 2025 World Series Championship sets its sights on its most exciting season yet.
The Gran Turismo World Series 2025 Championship is getting ready for another exciting year of virtual racing action. As the premier esports competition enters its 8th season, racers from around the globe will compete for glory in both the Nations Cup and Manufacturer Cup championships.
With Online Qualifiers beginning April 2nd and four international live events scheduled across iconic cities, this year promises to deliver intense competition and unforgettable racing moments for competitors and fans alike.
Four Global Live Events Await the Top Competitors
The best drivers who make it through the Online Qualifiers will travel to four international locations:
- London, UK (June 7)
- Berlin, Germany (September 20)
- Los Angeles, USA (November 8)
- Fukuoka, Japan (World Finals, December 20-21)
The racer and team with the most points across these four events will be crowned the 2025 champions.
New Seed System for Nations Cup
The Nations Cup has introduced a new seed system. This means the three highest-ranked competitors from last year automatically qualify for the Live Events:
- Takuma Miyazono (Japan)
- Kylian Drumont (France)
- Jose Serrano (Spain)
These champions have already secured their spots in this year’s competition.
Online Qualifiers Start Soon
The Online Qualifiers begin on April 2 and run until May 10. They’re open to all players, with selections made from the ‘GT1 League.’
From the six rounds of qualifiers:
- 12 manufacturers with three drivers each (36 total) will be selected for the Manufacturer Cup
- Nine drivers will be chosen for the Nations Cup
