F1 25: New Ideas or the Same Formula?

Another year, another F1 game. Codemasters and EA Sports are back with F1 25, but is it truly a step forward or just another yearly refresh?

Each year, Codemasters and EA Sports roll out a new F1 game, and with it comes a mix of excitement and doubts. F1 25 is no different. The latest instalment boasts intriguing updates, including the next phase of Braking Point, a crossover with the upcoming F1 movie, and the unexpected addition of reverse track racing. But do these changes improve the game, or are they just gimmicks?

With the game set to release on May 30 time will tell.

F1 25 brings some fresh features, but their long-term impact is uncertain, personally, I have no interest in a money spinner title that lacks innovation. Cold words, yes, but this is where we are at with F1 and other games such as FIFA. It’s the same stuff every year, yet people still buy it.

F1 25 New Ideas or the Same Formula

I bet many of you would prefer a technically created F1 title that harps back to the classics but brings the innovative razors edge of todays current F1 generation. Its where titles like Assetto Corsa Competizione and Le Mans Ultimate took the step to designate a class of series racing that appealed, I can assure you, these are far betting racing series gaming titles.

F1 does not do that, instead its bloated with pom pom stories worthy of TIKTOK or Instagram, and content that ticks boxes. We are living through a sad generation of the premier class of motorsport in the gaming world.

With launch day approaching, more details may emerge. Until then, these are the biggest questions surrounding F1 25’s new direction.
