The CMS Sunday Night iRacing Truck Series is revving up for another action-packed season, and it all starts with the 2025 Season 2 Pre-Season Race at World Wide Technology Raceway. This race serves as a proving ground, allowing drivers to fine-tune their strategies and get a feel for the competition before the official season begins.
With fixed setups, realistic weather conditions, and a challenging 160-lap format, the saga begins now.
Race Day Schedule & Format
This high-intensity event follows a structured schedule to ensure drivers have ample time to prepare before the green flag drops. All times are in the Eastern US Time Zone:
8:15 PM – Practice Session (60 minutes)
9:15 PM – Qualifying (2 laps / 5 minutes)
9:25 PM – Race Start (160 laps | ~1 hour 55 minutes)
Drivers will race on a fixed setup (gateway_oval), making skill and strategy the biggest factors in securing a top finish.

Session Time & Track Conditions
While the real-world race is set for March 30, the in-game simulation will reflect a different environment. The session date is set for June 3, 2025, with the following in-sim start times:
Practice: 11:00 AM
Qualifying: 1:00 PM
Race: 1:30 PM
These settings introduce unique challenges, such as track temperature changes and evolving conditions that will test every driver’s adaptability.
Orange Zone (OZ) & Incident Reviews
To ensure a clean start, the entire first lap is designated as an Orange Zone (OZ). This means all incidents on the opening lap will be reviewed post-race. Any questionable contact will be subject to Incident Review Requests (IRRs), reinforcing fair play and accountability.
