VRS Endurance
On Saturday 07-01-2023 and Sunday 08-01-2023, my partner Sophie Aeronwen and I drove the VRS Endurance. A 3 hours race, at Silverstone, with the Ferrari GT3. It was going to be a tough one. Sophie had a good start, unfortunately got hit and we drove further with 7 minutes of damage. The car was a bit slower, but luckily, it didn’t feel too bad. I tried what I could, because my pace wasn’t good enough. I just kept it consistent, and held my pace. Like I always say; Consistently slow. In the end my stints were a little bit better than I thought, we finished P23!
VCOxLFM FleXtreme
On Saturday 07-01-2023, was also the VCOxLFM FleXtreme. A 6 hour race, at Barcelona, with the Porsche Cup car. In the practice what I did, in the days before, didn’t make me confident for the race. I kept crashing, and had a lot of problems with going on the throttle. The car doesn’t have traction control.
Sophie Aeronwen, had a good start and first stint. My first stint was a lot slower, unfortunately. I kept it consistent and got more confidence in the car. Eliza Indriani drove the third stint, for her it was a tough car and track to drive. She struggled a lot, and got a bit stressed. In the end, she drove a bit better. I went back in the car, with way too much fuel, but I drove consistently and a lot quicker then my previous stint.
Sophie went in the car for the last stint and an extra 45 minutes. She drove very well, and we finished P21. I really enjoyed driving this car, hopefully I can drive it more!
Work
I’ve been very busy with work. I’m working for the Screen to Speed project. I did 9 pre-interviews this week, with drivers who are participating in the event.
I’m also working on text for my website, new flyers for this season, and trying to recover a bit more.
