Don’t miss the CMS Truck Series race at Kansas Speedway this Sunday, it’s going to be a good one!
More exciting truck racing this Sunday night! The CMS Sunday Night Truck Series in iRacing is making a stop at the fast Kansas Speedway for the fourth race of their season. It’s going to be a great event for anyone who enjoys watching close, competitive action.
The racing fun begins on Sunday, April 27th, 2025. If you want to see how the drivers are preparing, the practice session kicks off at 8:15 PM Eastern US time. Right after that, at 9:15 PM Eastern, it’s time for qualifying. Each driver will get two laps to try and set their fastest time and earn a good starting spot for the main event.
Then comes the race itself, starting around 9:25 PM Eastern. It’s set to run for 134 laps, which should give us almost two hours of door-to-door competition. One thing that makes this series interesting is that everyone has the same car setup.
This means that driver skill and smart race decisions will really shine. The setup they’ll be using is (kansas_oval).
Kansas Speedway
Kansas Speedway is located in Kansas City, Kansas. It’s a big 1.5-mile oval track with turns that are banked pretty high. This design often leads to multiple ways to race and a lot of cars running close together. The very first lap of the race will be extra important.
When the race gets underway, it will be a rolling start. Drivers will also have one chance to use a “fast repair” if their truck gets damaged. However, they’ll need to be careful because they only get four sets of tires for the whole race.
This means planning when to pit and how hard to push their tires will be a big part of the strategy. The race will also have realistic weather conditions, and the track will change as the laps go by, making things even more unpredictable.
