The racing simulator Automobilista 2 just got better with its newest update, bringing improvements across several areas of the game.
Racing fans can now enjoy a better experience in Automobilista 2 thanks to the latest update that fixes various issues and adds new features. Let’s break down what’s changed in V1.6.3.6.
Display Improvements
The game now shows updated names and logos for the karting classes. Additionally, Reiza Studios fixed an issue where leaderboard colours were missing for both generations of LMP2 race cars.
Better Car Performance
Many cars have received tire improvements to make them handle more realistically. These changes affect various vehicles, including:
- Karts
- LMDh/GTP race cars
- Both generations of LMP2 and P1 cars
- F-Ultimate Gen2
- Several other popular cars like the ARC Camaro and Caterham models
Also fixed are some control problems with certain F-USA cars on oval tracks. This meant how cars react when driving behind each other by increasing the draft effect distance from 75 to 100 meters.
Smarter Computer-Controlled Drivers
The computer-controlled drivers (AI) are now better at managing their race strategy. They make smarter decisions about when to pit stop, especially in endurance races. Furthermore, they’re more efficient with fuel management during qualifying and races.
The AI has also been improved for various car classes, including:
- Super V8
- Stock Car (2019-2024 models)
- GT3 and GT4 cars
- Several other racing categories
Sound and Visual Updates
The Nissan R390 GT1 now has proper cockpit sound during replays. There are also visual improvements, like fixing mirror materials on some cars and removing unnecessary driver safety equipment from karts.
