Max Verstappen Dominates Sim Racing and F1 Weekend

Max Verstappen emerged victorious in two very different racing events over the past weekend – the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix F1 race and the virtual 24 Hours of Nürburgring endurance competition.

Max Verstappen achieved an impressive double victory this past weekend, winning both the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix F1 race and the virtual 24 Hours of Nürburgring endurance race.

The triple and reigning F1 champion completed evening stints in the virtual race in between his on-track duties at Imola. He even stayed up late to watch the Usyk-Fury boxing match before tackling the grand prix the next day.

Team boss Christian Horner hailed Verstappen as “a racing machine” for his ability to win in both the real and virtual realms back-to-back.

Lando Norris, who finished just 0.7 seconds behind Verstappen in the F1 race, suggested mental fatigue was likely a bigger challenge than physical strain from the double duties.

Verstappen admitted the bumpy Imola circuit took more of a physical toll, saying “My back, everything is hurting” after his win.

With 5 wins from 7 races so far in 2024, Verstappen is cruising towards his 4th straight F1 title. His latest unique achievement underscores his racing skill across both real motorsport and virtual platforms.
