The official unveiling of the Ferrari 499P in the Le Mans Ultimate game has been revealed, providing gamers with their first glimpse of this revered hypercar in a digital format. This event marks a significant milestone: it’s the first time the Ferrari 499P has been featured in any video game or sim racing platform aside from the modding community replications.
The anticipation surrounding this reveal is high, as it represents a bridge between the real and virtual worlds of racing. With the racing title being marked down for Feb 20th 2024, many will hope to see a successful launch.
Le Mans Ultimate offers an immersive experience, mirroring the 2023 World Endurance Championship (WEC). The game features a lineup of hypercars from prestigious manufacturers like Toyota, Porsche, Peugeot, Cadillac, Glickenhaus, and Vanwall, alongside the Ferrari 499P.
Head of Studio 397, Dom Duhan, commented: “Having the opportunity to work with such an incredible group of individuals at Ferrari, which is of course is one of the most well-known brands in the world, has been a pleasure.
Our technical collaboration has allowed us to replicate the intricacies of the real-world car and without Ferrari’s engineering and dedicated input it would undoubtedly have been a bigger challenge to bring the 499P to life. This is the first appearance of this Le Mans winning car in sim racing and gaming, another world-first for the Studio.”
Significantly, the game’s release date holds a symbolic reference to the No.51 Ferrari 499P, a nod to the car’s dominance in the racing world.
This blend of the digital and real worlds of racing highlights the ongoing evolution in how fans engage with motorsports. It’s not just about viewing races anymore; it’s about actively participating in them through advanced gaming platforms.
The inclusion of such a legendary car as the Ferrari 499P in Le Mans Ultimate is a testament to the game’s authenticity and appeal to both racing purists and gaming enthusiasts.
