iRacing 2025 Season 1 introduces fan-favourite vehicles, updated tracks, and a host of gameplay improvements.
iRacing 2025 Season 1 is here, packed with new content and exciting updates for fans of this great racing simulation title. The Acura NSX GT3 EVO 22 is finally available in iRacing, following three successful seasons in IMSA, including a victory at Petit Le Mans. This addition brings a new level of competition to the GT3 class.
For fans of touring cars, the BMW M2 CS Racing enters the fray as free base content for all users. This vehicle, homologated for TCX racing, is also a centrepiece in the M2 CS Racing Cup series.
Another major addition is the Ferrari 499P, fresh off its consecutive wins at Le Mans. As Ferrari’s first factory prototype in 50 years, it headlines the redesigned Prototype Challenge series.
In the Supercars category, the Chevrolet Camaro and Ford Mustang of the Gen 3 lineup debut in iRacing, while older models transition to Legacy content.
Tracks and Locations
The highly requested Huset’s Speedway, a staple in the World of Outlaws series, makes its first appearance in iRacing as South Dakota’s inaugural dirt oval track. Additionally, Thruxton Circuit, one of England’s fastest circuits, joins iRacing’s growing British track list, now featuring a fully drivable infield runway.
The New Hampshire Motor Speedway receives a visual overhaul, alongside new AI-enabled layouts for Road Course and Road Course with North Oval configurations.
Gameplay Enhancements
- Rain Racing Expansion: Formula Vee now supports rain-enabled races, increasing immersion and adding to the challenge.
- AI Improvements: AI drivers gain the ability to flash headlights when preparing to overtake, alongside enhanced driving dynamics.
- Spotter Updates: A new feature alerts players when car damage might affect performance.
- Debris Refresh: Updated gravel and mud physics provide more realistic impacts on races, coupled with enhanced visual effects.
Technical Upgrades
- Netcode Optimization: Players experiencing lag now have a smoother experience without disrupting others in the session.
- Lighting Adjustments: Specular lighting updates enhance visual contrast while reducing glare for a more natural racing environment.
- Demo Drive Mode: The updated test drive feature, renamed Demo Drive, integrates directly into the iRacing UI, offering seamless solo practice laps with owned content.
Setups and Tuning
More than 400 new vehicle setups are now available, allowing players to fine-tune popular cars for different tracks and conditions.
