Gran Turismo Polyphony Digital Addresses Player Issues Fixes

Gran Turismo players, take note, Polyphony Digital has acknowledged a collection of in-game issues and is preparing for a corrective update.

If you’ve been experiencing some bumps in the road while playing Gran Turismo, you’re not alone. Polyphony Digital has acknowledged several problems that players have reported, and they’re working on an update to smooth things out.

Steering Woes and Car Customization Quirks

First off, some players using steering wheel controllers have noticed that the feedback during online races in Lobby and Sport Mode isn’t quite right. Polyphony Digital is aware of this, and they’re aiming to correct it in the upcoming update.

Additionally, there are some specific car-related issues that have cropped up. If you happen to have received the:

…on January 25, 2024, you might have run into some trouble when trying to apply custom Styles to them.

Temporary Workarounds

In the meantime, here are a few things you can do to minimize these problems:

  • Avoid using Styles that you saved with those affected cars from January 25, 2024.
  • Stick to editing and saving Styles on cars that were distributed on January 30, 2024, or cars that you purchased from Brand Central.
  • If you want to avoid confusion in your Garage, you can delete the affected cars and any Styles that are linked to them. You can remove cars through [Used Cars] > [Car Valuation Service] or [Garage] > [Discard]. Styles can be deleted in [Showcase] > [My Items].
  • It is important to remember that the “Car Valuation Service” is unlocked through game progression, and the “Discard” option is only available when you own two of the same vehicle.

Game Crashes and Multiplayer Glitches

Unfortunately, some players have also reported that the game is crashing during the Rewards and Rating screen in certain race events, which can halt their progress.

And in multiplayer Lobby mode, there are a few bugs that have been causing frustration:

  • Sometimes, the host is unable to start the race when the game displays “Preparing.” The current workaround is to have everyone leave the room and then rejoin.
  • In some cases, players may not appear in the member list or during the race, which can lead to an application error when the host starts the event.
  • Also there are times when completing a race, can stop further game progression.

Polyphony Digital is on the Case

Polyphony Digital is working diligently to resolve these issues, and they plan to release an update that will correct these problems. So, hang tight, and hopefully, you’ll be back to smooth racing soon.
