The upcoming 2024 Season 1 build for iRacing is set to significantly enhance its AI Racing modes, introducing a substantial array of content unlocks. This expansion includes eight track configurations spread across four distinct circuits and the addition of two high-performance vehicles, broadening the scope for single-player races and championships.
Additionally, these new elements will be available in Hosted and League races, offering a more diverse and engaging racing experience.
The rollout begins with the season’s latest additions:
- Audi R8 LMS Evo II GT3, a top-tier GT3 race car known for its performance and agility
- Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello, an Italian circuit famed for its challenging turns and high-speed straights
- Slinger Speedway, a unique American short track.
For these circuits, all layouts are accessible, including both the Grand Prix and Short versions at Mugello, and the standard Oval alongside the more intricate Figure Eight layout at Slinger.
Complementing the Audi in the 2024 iRacing garage is the HPD ARX-01c, a renowned prototype race car that has been a mainstay in iRacing’s endurance racing series for over a decade. As iRacing’s inaugural LMP2 car, the ARX-01c remains a favourite among prototype racing enthusiasts for its historical significance and performance capabilities.
Further enhancing the racing venues, the release also unlocks the remaining layouts for two celebrated tracks: Silverstone Circuit and Homestead-Miami Speedway. Silverstone, a track steeped in motorsport history, will feature its International and National layouts, offering varied racing experiences.
Meanwhile, Homestead-Miami Speedway’s both Road Course options are also made available, adding to the versatility of race settings in iRacing’s repertoire.
This substantial update not only enriches the AI Racing modes but also reflects iRacing’s commitment to providing a realistic and varied racing simulation, catering to a wide range of preferences among its user base.
