F1 24 is set to launch on May 31, introducing an all-new Dynamic Handling system and a revamped ‘Career’ mode.
For racing fans eagerly awaiting the next evolution of the official Formula 1 video game series, the wait is almost over. Formula 1 and Electronic Arts Inc have announced that F1 24 will launch on Friday, May 31, bringing a host of exciting new features and enhancements to the popular racing simulator.
Leading the charge is the introduction of EA SPORTS Dynamic Handling, a groundbreaking system developed with insights from reigning Formula 1 World Champion Max Verstappen himself. This innovative feature promises to redefine the driving experience offering players unprecedented precision control and realistic predictable performance whether using a wheel or controller setup.
But the upgrades don’t stop there, some of the most iconic venues on the Formula 1 calendar, including the legendary Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Silverstone, Lusail International Circuit, and Jeddah Corniche Circuit, have received further enhancements. These circuit upgrades ensure that players will experience the authentic tracks in all their glory, truly bringing the excitement of F1 racing into their homes.
Perhaps the most significant overhaul comes in the form of the revamped ‘Career’ mode. In F1 24, players can choose to step into the shoes of one of the 20 drivers from the 2024 F1 season, an up-and-coming competitor in F2, or even a legendary icon from the sport’s storied history. Alternatively, they can create their own unique character and compete for World Championship glory.
Immersion takes on a whole new dimension with the inclusion of real-life driver audio from F1 broadcasts. As players race, they’ll hear the drivers reacting to on-track incidents, adding an extra layer of authenticity to the experience. A new broadcast presentation package and cutscenes further enhance the race day atmosphere.
Finally, the popular multiplayer game mode, ‘F1 World,’ returns for its second season in F1 24. Here, players can represent their favourite team and driver over the course of a Podium Pass season, competing in a time-limited league that involves reaching collaborative goals while battling against rival teams.
With its cutting-edge features, circuit enhancements, and immersive gameplay elements, F1 24 promises to be the most realistic and engaging Formula 1 racing experience yet. Fans of the sport and gamers alike can mark their calendars for May 31, when the green light drops on this highly anticipated release.
Players who pre-order* the digital-exclusive Champions Edition of F1® 24 will gain early access, starting May 28, and receive immediate access to the 2024 team liveries** of BWT Alpine F1 Team, MoneyGram Haas F1 Team, McLaren Formula 1 Team, and Williams Racing for use in ‘Time Trial’ mode in F1® 23, along with 18,000 Pitcoin and special Icons James Hunt and Juan Pablo Montoya to use in F1® 24.
Max Verstappen will appear as the cover star for the Champions Edition, whilst seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton will appear alongside Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc as the cover stars for the standard edition of the game.
F1® 24 will release across, PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation®4, Xbox One, and PC via EA App, Epic Games Store, and Steam.
