The CMS Super Formula Lights Championship in iRacing is the latest racing scene for the community. First up on the cards is the mighty Imola circuit that features the impressive Super Formula Lights race cars. Below is an overview of the race car, event schedule, race format, and participation guidelines to help you prepare.
Super Formula Lights
The Dallara 324 builds on the legacy of global Formula 3 regulations, replacing the Dallara 320, which was used for the past four seasons. Here’s what makes this car stand out:
- Chassis and Aerodynamics: Upgraded for improved performance and stability.
- Spec Engine Introduction: For the first time, the series has adopted a single-spec engine.
- Powertrain: The car is powered by a turbocharged, three-cylinder, 1.6-liter Toyota TGE33 engine, developed by TOM’S.
- Performance: With approximately 275 horsepower, this engine mirrors the power and speed required by young racers progressing to elite racing levels.
This car is the same type of machinery used by some of the world’s most promising open-wheel drivers as they climb the racing ladder. In short, these vehicles are fast, reliable, and demand precision.
