The virtual iRacing Circuit de Barcelona Catalunya event is coming up in the CMS Fall GT3 Championship with drivers set to compete on September 18th 2024.
The CMS Fall GT3 Championship Series is preparing for its opening race at the virtual Circuit de Barcelona Catalunya on the iRacing platform, supported by Simrace247. The race is scheduled for Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at 9:30 PM US Eastern time, with a 40-minute practice session starting at 8:30 PM and 20 minutes of open qualifying beginning at 9:20 PM.
Drivers will face realistic weather conditions, with a wet track expected. The event features open setups and will use a rolling start for the 60-minute race. Each driver will be allowed one fast repair, and there will be a drive-through penalty after 17x incidents. Fuel capacity is limited to 75% for GT3 cars.
An important race rule is the Orange Zone (OZ), which covers the entire first lap. Incidents in this zone will be reviewed after the race, and drivers can file incident reports for any questionable contact.
