The eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series race in Charlotte produced a nail bitter down to the wire with the closest finish ever.

The Garrett Lowe and Jimmy Mullis rivalry reached a new peak at the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series race in Charlotte. Nearly a year after a controversial finish at Nashville, Lowe claimed victory by a mere 0.001 seconds over Mullis, the closest finish in series history. Both drivers had new tires for the final seven laps, with Lowe edging Mullis in a dramatic drag race to the line after bumping him in Turn 3.

Lowe reflected on the win, expressing satisfaction over redeeming his previous year’s loss and crediting his team for their car setup. Mullis, despite finishing second, accepted the outcome given their past conflicts and was pleased with the clean finish.

This win marks Lowe’s fifth career victory, his first in 2024, and the first for his new team, BS+COMPETITION. It was also his first win at his hometown track, Charlotte Motor Speedway. Mullis’s second-place finish was the best performance for his new team, Kevin Harvick Inc.

Throughout the 160-lap race, Lowe and Mullis were not frontrunners until the final restart. The race had been dominated by Steven Wilson and others from Norse Force Racing. Incidents involving other competitors, like Tucker Minter and Bobby Zalenski, shuffled the field, allowing Lowe and Mullis to advance in the final laps.

This race may not be the end of their rivalry, but it positions Lowe for a strong playoff run and potential Championship 4 redemption in August.
