Forza Motorsport Update 9 Releases New Content, Fixes and More

Players of Forza Motorsport can experience fresh content, enjoy bug fixes, and explore additional features with the release of Update 9.

Forza Motorsport and Turn 10 has released update 9 on June 10th which is available for Xbox Series X|S and PC via the Microsoft Store and Steam. Additionally, new in-game events commence on June 12 at 5:00 PM PT / June 13 at 12:00 AM UTC.

Improvements and Bug Fixes

This update introduces minor fixes with a focus on endurance-themed content. Turn 10 is addressing issues where monitor refresh rates and PC framerate affect shift times, with a solution expected in a future release. Upcoming updates will include an option to disable TAA and an updated VRAM estimator.

Currently, Turn 10 is also working on resolving a bug where many livery designs appear with matte decals following the Vinyl Material feature in the previous update.

Specific fixes in Update 9 include:

  • Adjusted practice lengths for all Featured Multiplayer Series, resulting in shorter sessions.
  • Resolved visible clipping issues for the 1988 Lamborghini Countach LP5000 QV in cockpit view.
  • Fixed misplaced brake callipers and missing wheel lug nuts for the 1963 Shelby Monaco King Cobra.
  • Corrected a missing thumbnail for the Forza P3 car division in the Free Play Advanced Event Setup menu.
  • Addressed glass reflection issues on Maple Valley and Mid-Ohio tracks.
  • Updated the existing Mobil 1 decal and added three new decal variants.

  • Sebring Raceway: Reintroduced with Full and Short Circuit layouts, known for its challenging, uneven surfaces. This historic track is famous for hosting the 12 Hours of Sebring.
