Brought to you by All Along The Race Track, Hokkaido Speedway is another racetrack mods for you to check out and add to your Assetto Corsa mods collection.

Creators notes

Located on the hills of the Hokkaido island, It was opened in 1970, in his original layout, and it has hosted local races up until 1973, when it was closed due to the number of fatal crashes and financial issues.

It has been re-opened and closed several times in the following decades until the early 2000s, when the area has been assigned to something else. My new design has added a lot of character to a track that failed in the past in attracting top motorsport series.

Despite being only 4km long, it offers two good overtaking spots and a great mix of corners, from slow chicanes to tight hairpins, from fast bends to sweeping curves, made even more challenging for drivers by the elevation changes.

The mod has:

  • Pit Boxes
  • Full compatibility with SOL, Custom Shaders Patch, and Content Manager
  • Replay Cameras
  • GrassFX and RainFX support
  • Night lighting
  • AI Lines

It also features:

  1. Unique 3D models of kerbs, pits and other items
  2. Realistic surroundings

Gaming mods are a vital core part to the gaming industry, Assetto Corsa would not be the sim racing title it is today without them, F1 has seen its best sim racing cars through mods as well. Titles like rFactor and the Automobilista series have also had their fair share.

When we see some of the great creations of cars, tracks, sounds and so much more, we really see how great the sim racing mod community is. Driven by passion and the need to create, the modding community shows some of the greatest designs in the sim racing genre.
