Williams Esports ESL R1 ROUND 4 – SPA

Williams Esports is geared up and ready for the next ESL race for round 4 at Spa. Check out what they have to say ahead of the event.

Williams Esports is looking forward to taking part in another online round of ESL R1, the exciting new sim racing competition run by esports powerhouse, ESL.

This week, the guys will be back racing at Spa, the location for Round 1 of the competition, across two separate days – a Friday quarter-final session
and Monday’s finals event.

The team of Dáire McCormack, Kuba Brzezinski, Nikodem Wisniewski and Dennis Schoniger put in a solid performance last time out in Round 3 at the Nurburgring, with both Wisniewski (P3) and McCormack (P11) reaching the final of the event and securing valuable points for the team.

After last time out, I was gutted to not be fighting at the top of the standings in the final.

DÁIRE McCORMACK

“This week will be all about ensuring that my qualifying is at the highest level in each round, giving me the best opportunity to secure points for myself and the team. Last time out at Spa I couldn’t make it out of theQF, so I hope to change that this time out”.

JAKUB (KUBA) BRZEZINSKI

“For Round 4 we’re going back to Spa – my favourite race track. I only just missed out on making the semis the first time we raced there. Having performed much better from home in the last round, and with slight BoP improvements in the car coming into effect, I see no reason why we shouldn’t score great points here.  As always, it’ll be all about nailing the quali laps and advancing through the stages without causing any drama.”

NIKODEM (NIKO) WISNIEWSKI

“The next round of the ESL R1 at Spa will be pretty tough for AMG, but I will do my best to keep up with the pace. The Nurburgring was amazing for me, and with it being my first podium in such a strong field, it has inspired me to push on and I come into the next round with a lot of confidence. It is now time to practise and maximise our potential, but I believe that with good attitude and a little bit of luck we can fight for some solid points.”

DENNIS SCHÖNIGER

“Despite not being one of my favourite tracks on other simulators, I am really looking forward to the next round of ESL at Spa as Rennsport makes the track really enjoyable to
drive. After finding my feet in the first few races, I am ready to battle at the front of the pack in this round at Spa and will hopefully get some better luck off the start line!”
