I had a really great time competing in S2S. Other competitors were being very supportive and nice to each other, they shared some tips that really helped me during my race! It’s so nice to finally see my teammates and my friends in real life. I made a lot of friends on this trip, I’m so grateful to meet them. Also, Stefy, Rachel, Victoria, Laura, Derek, Yvonne, Sophie, and the whole team did a really great job managing this event.

Overall S2S isn’t just about competing, it’s also to connect all the female sim racers worldwide. And we got a chance to watch the Pennzoil 400! I never thought I could go to LVMS and see all those fantastic cars going fast and shaking the ground. I really hope we will have S2S in the near future, I can’t wait to show my improvement. I’ll come back stronger.

Screen to speed was the first ever LAN event I have gone to for iRacing and honestly, I don’t think it can be topped. A combination of the other competitors, great staff, and an amazing choice of venue has made this an experience I’ll never forget.

I made some great connections and met some of the people who I have been working hard with for the last couple of months for the event. I’m happy to have met all of them and hope that we can do this all again in the future.

For S2S, I’d say they accomplished their goals of unifying women from the esports world and all working towards trying to give one of us the opportunity to reach our dreams. I hope to see this event return in the future and be able to compete against a great group of drivers once again.

Hi, I’m Esmeralda, I’m 22 years old and I’m driving for the United Sim Team. When Yvonne first told me about Screen to Speed I wasn’t even sure I wanted to compete, I had never even touched NASCAR before this event. I can tell you that I’ve never driven such a difficult car in my life, but with Las Vegas on the line, I wasn’t going to give up right away.

I continued to improve my lap times, and with the engagement points system in place, I asked everyone I knew to help me gain a lot of those points. It took me lots of practice but with 200 engagement points and a lap time of 48.669, I made it through!

Onto Vegas, we had a really long flight, I barely got any sleep at all on the plane. When we got to the hotel after dinner I was out like a light. On the track I met all of the competitors, they were all so nice and welcoming, the atmosphere was really good and we were all just so happy to be there.

We didn’t have a lot of time to practice, and it was difficult to adjust to the different pedals. In the first heat, I qualified on the pole. I led for 11 laps but due to some unfortunate timing with backmarkers, I lost the lead in the last lap. This did not matter though, as the top 5 made it into the finals.

I was really nervous because there was a big prize for the winner, I made a few mistakes in qualifying which meant I started from p7, I managed to make up 2 places and tried to overtake for 4th but I couldn’t get past her. I’m ecstatic with p5 though, I never would have thought I’d make it this far. It was a dream coming true!

A special thanks to Stefy, Rachel, Victoria, Laura, Derek, Yvonne, Sophie, and everyone behind the scenes. Patrick, one of my closest friends who supported me throughout the whole event, my friends and teammates Elz and Athena, and all of the competitors participating in this event.
