Women in sim racing continues with our resident female sim racing blogger Yvonne Houffelaar as we catch up for blog #89.

Welcome to my eighty nineth weekly blog!

Health challenges
The last couple of months, my health has been going backwards quickly. Last week they found an abscess and it was very painful. I got ill from it, and became weak very quickly. All the strength that I’ve built up, was gone in a few days. I need to take a little break from sim racing, to recover, and get better. I don’t know how long it will take, but I will try my best to be back soon!!

Screen to Speed
On Saturday 04-03-2023, was the final of Screen to Speed, a project for women by women! I was really upset last week, I couldn’t go to Las Vegas to work further on this project. Luckly, Sophie was there, and took very good care of my “baby”, this project! I still did the work I could do from home. It was amazing to see all the drivers shine, and Saoirse Fitzpatrick won the first Screen to Speed race!
Everything went well, and that’s thanks to Stefy, Sophie, and the rest of the crew! I was very happy to see the end result on the stream, and it was great to see all the drivers very excited!

No stream
Because I’m doing no races this week, there is not going to be a stream. Maybe I will find another game to play and stream. I’m looking into it, because the only games I’ve got are racing games. I will keep you all updated on my discord channel.
