Daytona 500
On Sunday 19-02-2023, I drove the Daytona 500. Thanks to my teammate Athena, I had a great setup, and the car was very quick! There were a lot of Dutch drivers in, and we decided to work together. At some point there were 6 Dutch drivers in the top 10, including me. For me was the goal, look after the car, save fuel, and stay out of trouble. I had only one incident, which caused a lot of damage, but I could go further. I repaired the damage a bit, but made sure that I stayed in the lead lap.

The last two laps were all out, and still trying to go for the win! I finished 3rd, 0.1 behind the leader, so close to winning the Daytona 500!! The good news is, I finally have my A license for oval racing, on iRacing! I gained a point of safety rating, because I only had a 2x incident points.

RPM League
On Wednesday 22-02-2023, was the RPM League round 7 at Sonoma. I knew it was going to be a difficult race, due to meetings I missed the qualifying and started on the back of the field. I gained positions, unfortunately, also got hit, and spun into the wall. I drove with 11 minutes of damage, but I kept going. I still drove around the same lap times, and gained some positions from drivers that quit or had a lot of required repairs. In the end, I finished P22, P7 in Bronze class! Very happy with the result, I didn’t know the track very well, and couldn’t practice because of my work.

Screen to Speed
I’m the talent manager for Screen to Speed. The 4th of March, there is the final in Las Vegas! Every driver who qualified for the finals will be in Las Vegas. At the Las Vegas Nascar venue will be the final. I’ll be there too, it will be amazing to meet a lot of fast drivers, to watch Nascar, and to be in America together with Sophie! It will be hard work, but also an amazing experience!
