Williams Esports will be geared up and ready for the Spring Season launch of the ESL R1 Spring Series at IEM Katowice in Poland coming up this weekend.

The new and upcoming ESL R1 sim racing event is launching this weekend with Williams Esports ready for action.

Williams Esports is excited to be taking part in the opening rounds of the ESL R1 Spring Series at IEM Katowice in Poland this weekend. In what could become one of the biggest sim racing competitions in the world, with ESL’s investment, Williams’ four drivers will be competing live from Katowice against other well established esports teams including Faze Clan, Heroic and Mouz.

Last week the team announced that ACC drivers Daire McCormack and Dennis Schoniger would be racing alongside multi-sim Williams Esports stalwarts Niko Wisniewski and Kuba Brzezinski.
As part of their long-standing partnership with Mercedes-AMG, the team will be called Mercedes-AMG Team Williams Esports. It will also be Dennis’ first race with the team and he is excited to don the Williams blue for the first time. The dates for the ESL R1 2023 Spring Season are as follows:

  • ESL R1 2023 Spring Season launch: February 11-12, 2023 / IEM Expo, Katowice, Poland
  • ESL R1 2023 Spring Major at the RENNSPORT Summit: May 27-28, 2023 / Munich, Germany

The dates for the ESL R1 2023 Fall Season are as follows:

  • ESL R1 2023 Fall Season launch: August 2023 / online
  • ESL R1 2023 Fall Major at DreamHack Winter: November 23-25, 2023 / Jönköping, Sweden
