Our women in sim racing blogs continue in 2023, Eliza Indriani drops by to give us blog #51, lets catch up and see what’s in store and upcoming.

Hello and welcome to my 51st blog! It’s almost a year! Time flies. A lot has changed since I started blogging. I became the best version of myself and I can see the progress in my career. Thank you very much to Thrustmaster, simrace247, Next Level Racing, Adam Hedge, race lab, and many more for giving me endless support to grow in sim racing.

This year I’ll be focusing more on content creation, make sure to follow me on Instagram and Tiktok for daily gaming content.

Last week I had a race in the Skip Barber Race Series. I currently enjoy racing in this series; car is fun to drive, schedules are also interesting, and people that race in this series are good and respectful drivers so far. I decided to focus on 1 series last week, so I can focus more on learning a race craft at the same track with the same car. I think that’s a good way to learn in sim racing, focusing on learning 1 track at a time.

I wanted to race in the GT4 series at Fuji but it meant I had to learn another track and car. It’s not hard to drive the GT4 car, but it surely takes another couple of hours to practice. I have been busy lately, I don’t know if I’d be able to learn everything at once. It’s better to focus on 1 thing at once.

I had so much fun in the stream last week. I thought not many people like the SBRS, I got a message from someone in chat that he really appreciates someone who races in this series. Most people are driving the GT car, I don’t see many people racing in this series, even when I had a race after 11 PM we only got 1 split, I often raced with someone who has 2k iRating. So racing here can be tough sometimes.

I learned how to do a standing start through this series. Yep, in SBRS we do a standing start. To be completely honest with you all, I’m so bad at standing start. I thought I did it right, but I always lost position after the light turned green. There’s something that I need to work on.

Although the start was bad, I always had a nice battle at this track. In these 11 laps of the race I never had a chance to take a breath; it’s always busy here. Either I had to defend my position or I had to close the gap and overtook the position.

That’s what makes me love sim racing more. Everyday I learn something new, and I have something to achieve day by day.  You can watch one of my best race in the Skip Barber Race Series at Watkins Glen here:

This week I’ll be racing in the GT4 series; we’ll be racing in Brands Hatch. On Saturday I might do the Michelin Pilot Challenge. I might have some races in the SBRS, this week we’re racing in Chicago Street Circuit. It’s my home circuit and I’m so excited to race at this track! Come join my stream at 20:00 CST on twitch.
