BMW M SIM Cup iRacing 2023 Event Calendar

iRacing is putting it out there as the place to be with the BMW M SIM Cup community event coming up in 2023.

More great community events for people to get involved in as the 2023 BMW M SIM Cup is announced for iRacing.

A purse of more than $45,000 highlights the return of the BMW M SIM Cup to iRacing, as the 10-race series brings top-tier sports car racing to the community once again for 2023. The new campaign starts on Sunday, February 5 at Daytona International Speedway, with multi-class racing featured for the first time, and racing open to all members of the iRacing community. The top drivers will have the opportunity to earn their share of the prize pool all year long, with both prizes for podium finishes and end-of-season bonuses on the line.

As in past years, the 2023 BMW M SIM Cup will take place as a community event on iRacing servers. Teams of two drivers apiece will choose between the BMW M Hybrid V8 GTP or BMW M4 GT3, taking on two hours of racing from some of the world’s most iconic venues. This will mark the first inclusion of prototype racing in the series since its inception in 2020. The full 2023 BMW M SIM Cup schedule is as follows:

  • February 5: Daytona International Speedway
  • March 19: Sebring International Raceway
  • April 23: Road America
  • May 7: Nurburgring Grand-Prix-Strecke
  • June 4: Watkins Glen International
  • July 2: Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps
  • August 20: Fuji Speedway
  • October 17: Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta
  • November 5: To be determined
  • November 19: Suzuka International Racing Course

The BMW M SIM Cup prize pool adds to iRacing’s substantial pool of prizes for sim racers, with more than $625,000 on the line across pro series and major community events. Each class podium splits $1,750 per race, while the top 10 finishers per class (plus the driver who posts the fastest lap if they finish in the top 10) will receive BMW M SIM Cup points towards the end-of-season prize pool. An additional $6,150 per class is on the line for the top 12 points finishers in both classes at the end of the season, with the champions taking home $1,500 apiece.
