Hello and welcome to my 44th blog! This week I had a lot of races in iRacing, I’m working on my race craft and trying to gain iRating. I enjoy iRacing more and more now, I really love all the series that they have and I learned a lot from every race. Also my Twitch channel has been growing day by day, I stream almost everyday for at least 4 hours a day.

Last week I had a great race in Road America and this week I am ready to have more races in Brands Hatch and Barcelona.

Ferrari Fixed Series week 1 – Road America

In the first week of the season I decided to do some races in the Ferrari Fixed Series. It’s a fun series to join, you don’t need to worry about the car setup, you can just jump into the race and adjust the brake bias based on your driving style.
It feels really fun racing at your favorite track. I improved a lot from my latest race at this track on Next Level Racing Movember Race (read about our race in the NLR community race here: Women In Sim Racing Eliza Indriani Blog #38 • SimRace247

We were running a 15 mins race in this series. It’s a short race, I didn’t expect to be on the podium or win the race; I just want to have a great race and enjoy driving at this track. One of the most memorable moments racing at this series was when I got a podium in qualifying and finished at P3. It was a great race, one of the best races I had in iRacing.

I gained a lot of iRating from these races, I’m now at 1,3K iR and I will try to reach at least 1,6K before the end of the year. Hope I can reach my goal.

MSA iRacing Series week 2 – Barcelona

In the second week of the season I have 2 options for racing; IMSA iRacing Series at Barcelona or VRS Sprint Series at Brands Hatch. I decided to do the 45 mins race at Barcelona. I’m still hating this track, but I have to do this race anyway to get more seat time racing at this track. Also my viewers were there to support me in practice, they gave me some advices and also they told me to not give up on this track. I showed some progress after 2 hours of practice, I started to gain confidence and ready to race.
I was one of the slowest drivers on the grid. Honestly it was hard for me to go faster at this track. But my main focus for this race was to gain experience about racing at the most hated track for me and also to get more experience racing with LMP cars around me.

Start was fine for me, I could avoid the crash and gain position on the first lap. But it was hard for me to be consistent in this race; The big challenge for me was to keep my head cool during the race, especially when the faster class tried to pass you. I find it quite tricky to let them pass you in several corners.
I finished at P10 in class, I wasn’t happy with the result and I must admit that I was really stressed out in the race. Those traffics were annoying, my front left tire was gone after a 30 mins race, and I went off-track several times. There is still a lot for me to learn about this track.

I don’t know if I still want to run in this series this week; I didn’t have a great time and it was hard for me to get the motivation to improve my pace here. Maybe I will do the VRS Sprint Series at Brands Hatch, it’s an easier track for me and I’m loving the Audi at this track. Come join my stream and enjoy the ride! I’ll be streaming at 9PM CST (sometimes I start earlier or later. Follow me on Twitch to get the notification).
