Williams Esports At SimRacing Expo 2022

Williams Esports At SimRacing Expo 2022

Popular professional sim racing team Williams Esports are at the Simracing Expo over the next few days.

Williams will be attending Simracing Expo for the fourth year to test the latest in sim racing products as well as meet up with long-standing partners who provide the equipment that the team races on every day. This year we will be competing in both competitions at the event. In the SimTrophy competition on ACC, we have Daire McCormack, Tinko Van der Velde and Igor Rodrigues – the latter racing from home due to a recent shoulder operation.

We have three of last year’s podium finishers in the GT500 iRacing competition. Louis Nahser, Daniel Pasztor and Alessandro Bico will be joined by Moreno Sirica. Team Manager Seb Hawkins and Operations Manager Javi Guerra will also be in attendance. It’s a great chance for the team to meet up with friends, fellow sim racers and the wider community as the industry continues to grow. We’re delighted to take this opportunity to share the event with Playseat, one of our key team partners. Playseat will be showcasing their sims in the Williams booth, where our drivers will be competing to achieve great results. Professional Trophy R5 – Nurburgring 6hr SATURDAY 3RD DECEMBER

Williams will be taking part in Round 5 of the Professional Trophy LIVE from Nuremberg with a line-up of Daire McCormack, Igor Rodrigues and Tinko van der Velde. This line-up of drivers has regularly raced together in the past online and this event was set to be the first where all three would race at a LAN event together.

Sadly however, Igor’s recent shoulder surgery ruled him out of flying over and he will instead race from home in Brazil. The trio recently won the first round of the VCOxLFM FLExTREME COTA 9hr event in commanding fashion, with Igor Rodrigues driving with only one hand. The team sit top of the Trophy table by nine points, so it is in the hands of our drivers if they will go home with the trophy in hand.

Williams has two entries in the GT500 race at SimExpo this week, the “Williams Esports Razer” car of Moreno Sirica and Alessandro Bico and the “Williams Esports Chillblast” car of Louis Nahser and Daniel Pasztor. The drivers are excited to get the chance to race at a LAN event, something that they don’t often get to do. The track they will be racing at is Monza, the favourite track of our Italian driver Alessandro Bico. As he says in his pre-race quote, it is difficult track that is all about exploiting every inch on track to get ahead of the opposition. For any media attending SimExpo, please reach out to to organise an interview with any member of the team.
