Women in sim racing continues with our resident female sim racing blogger Yvonne Houffelaar. This week in blog #79 we catch up with her sim racing events and more. Welcome to my seventy-nineth weekly blog!!

VCO 10 Hours at Suzuka
On Saturday 12-11-2022, I drove together with Eliza Indriani the VCO 10 Hours at Suzuka. This was a special one, we both write our weekly blogs for Simrace247.com and our team name is Team Simrace247.com!! I qualified on P6, it was a decent lap, but could be a bit faster. I knew it was a long race, and I told Eliza if we can keep the car on track, we have a good race pace, we can get a great result! I drove the first 2 stints, very consistent, no incidents, and I could drive to the podium positions! Eliza had 2 good stints, very consistent, and we were on P2.

Then I drove a double stint, still very consistent and we were in the lead, but it was still very close between the top 5! Then Eliza was going to drive her double stint, unfortunately she had pc problems, and her screen froze, she hit the wall and we had 5 minutes of damage. I felt very bad for her, because she drove very well, and couldn’t do anything about her pc problems! We decided that I needed to take over the car and drive it to the end. I repaired the car for 2 minutes, but it turned out I needed to repair more.

Unfortunately, when we did our pitstop it didn’t look that bad. We were on P4 and I was trying to hold the position. Repaired a little bit in the last pitstop and drove the car home. Team Simrace247.com finished P4! This is a very good result, and I hope to drive more with Eliza!!

GT4 Team Tourer
On Sunday 13-11-2022, I drove the Race Asylum GT4 Team Tourer, a 50 minutes race at the Nürburgring! We knew it was going to be a wet race, and also learned from our last wet race on Gran Turismo 7. The trick is to stay on Intermediate tires, no pitstop, and just keep the car on track! I qualified P9, not very good, but decent. I tried to keep the car on track and to survive. This went very well, where other drivers were changing tires, I stayed on the Inters and saved a lot of time! I finished P5 overal, and P2 in the Pro class! This is my best result in this series!
