Hello everyone and welcome to my 37th blog at simrace247!

How’s your week so far? This week I had very busy days, I’m currently busy building my new PC for sim racing and will have lots of races this weekend. I am overwhelmed but excited to race with my new equipment. I also got a new SF1000 wheel from Thrustmaster, I can’t wait to try it out once my PC is done!

Last Monday I had my second round of More Female Racers Season 5. It was a fun race but there was nothing to be proud of. I can’t say my race was bad, but it wasn’t good either. I could’ve done better but things just didn’t work in the race.

We were racing in Brands Hatch. I didn’t really like driving the Mercedes AMG at this track. I struggled to score a good lap time in qualifying. I started from P5 in class, my strategy for this race was to try to survive the first lap, because lots of incidents happen on the first lap and be consistent. This track is tricky, especially with this car.

In the first race, the first turn was smooth; no incident. I had a good fight and defended my position and I really enjoyed that moment until I saw 2 cars crash in front of me and I didn’t get a chance (or room) to avoid that. I got some aero damage and my car felt so understeer after that. It was hard to control this car going through some turns and that put me in P8.

During the second race, an incident happened in turn 1. Car in front of me was braking, I braked to anticipate the incident, but I guess it wasn’t enough. I bumped into the car in front of me, but that didn’t cost me much damage. And then going into the Portobello Straight there was another crash, and I can avoid that one as well.

I tried to overtake the car in front of me and defend my position from my friend L. Valenza in the second race. It was a fun battle between the three of us. And had a really nice battle with E. Aphelion. Unfortunately I got a 5 second penalty and I finished at P6 in class.

This is not how I wanted to end the second round. I could’ve done better, and I was so much faster during the practice session. It sucks that I couldn’t perform at my best in this race, so much potential and it wasn’t shown on race day.

I just want to forget this race and move on. Looking forward to the next round. We’ll be racing in Imola. I will practice harder and keep my consistency.

This weekend I will have an endurance race! Actually, I’ll have 2 endurance races. 10H of Suzuka on iRacing and 3H of Imola on ACC. This will be the first time I’m doing 2 endurance races on the same day.

In 10H of Suzuka I’ll be driving with Yvonne Houffelaar, I’m so excited to share the BMW M4 with her in this iRacing special event. I’ll be streaming this weekend starting from 5 AM CST. Its going to be a long weekend full of racing for me. See you in chat?
