Mighty Mini’s
On Wednesday 26-10-2022, it was time for CC Sim Racing Mighty Mini’s Round 4. 2x 10 minute races, at Suzuka Short. Unfortunately, they changed the track, and round 4 wasn’t Laguna Seca. I had some pedal problems, which we couldn’t repair before the race, which made it a tough one. I qualified P5, and hoped for some better results than the last couple of races. After a good fight, I was still on P5. Unfortunately, I made a mistake in the last corner, and lost some places. I finished P7. The second race was with a reversed grid start, I started P8. After a good start, a good result was there, till I got hit 3 times in the last corner, and the whole field was coming by. Because it is a very short race, and the lap times were very close, it’s difficult to catch up. I still finished P7.

BMW GT4 Team Championship
On Thursday 27-10-2022, was the third round of the CC Sim Racing BMW GT4 Team Championship. 3x 10 minute races at the Nürburgring. The qualifying (superpole) on Thursday 20-10-2022, went very well, because of a great lap from Sophie Aeronwen, we were driving in Tier 1. Tier 1, means more points, higher level of simracing. I knew that I don’t have Tier 1 pace, but I hoped to get in the midfield. Based on time in the superpole, I needed to start on P13. I expected much better driving standards in Tier 1, unfortunately this didn’t happen. I had some fights, but also some bumps, which wasn’t fun. I finished the first race on P13.

Which means the second race I needed to start on P13. I tried to gain from other drivers who made a mistake, and stayed in the slipstream, to gain some lap time. I didn’t have the pace, but stayed out of trouble, which gave me some positions. I finished on P9. The third race was with a reversed grid start, I started on P6. I knew a good result was in there, if I didn’t get hit because of the pace difference. Unfortunately, this happened, and I gave it all, to still get a good result, I finished P7. Sophie drove three good races, with a podium in the second race. We had a lot of points for the championship, but to be honest, I enjoyed driving in Tier 2 more, because I don’t have the pace compared to all the drivers. We are currently on P7 in the championship.

Back to ACC and iRacing
I found out that I miss racing on Assetto Corsa Competizione (ACC) and iRacing. I found some races that I’m going to drive, individually and in a team. This weekend I drive with eTeamBRIT the Coach Dave Suzuka 6 hours, on iRacing. On Monday is The Sim Grid More Female Racers powered by Mercedes-AMG, round 2 at Brands Hatch. I’m looking forward to the races, and I’m also looking forward to drive more on ACC and iRacing!

Schedule:

  • 06-11-2022 : Coach Dave 6 hours at Suzuka
  • 07-11-2022 : The Sim Grid More Female Racers Round 2 at Brands Hatch
  • 08-11-2022 : CLR DTM Tribute Round 2 at Monza
  • 10-11-2022 : BMW GT4 Team Championship Round 3 at Spa Francorchamps
