Weekly blog #75 18-10-2022

After a few weeks of not being well (still not better), I’m back for weekly blog number seventy five!

CC Sim Racing
On Wednesday 05-10-2022, was the first round of the CC Sim Racing Mighty Mini’s, 2x 10 minutes races at Brands Hatch Indy. I didn’t have the pace to win, but the top 7 was going through the second race for the win. It means if you finish higher, you cannot win the race or get more points then P8. My goal was to finish the first race in the top 7, that worked out well and I finished P6. My second race was going a little bit better, I was defending hard to keep my P5. More wasn’t in there, but P5 with 14 drivers in the competition isn’t bad!

BMW Team Championship
On Thursday 06-10-2022, was the first round of the CC Sim Racing BMW Team Championship, 3 races at Laguna Seca. Sophie Aeronwen and I are driving this series for eTeamBRIT. The first race went alright for me, not on pace with the top, but I finished P5. Sophie won the race! The second race I started P5, and I hoped for a little bit better result, the top 3 needed to drive on the medium tire and I was still on the Super soft compound. Unfortunately, I got hit and was in the gravel, lost a lot of places, and I was driving on the back of the field. I gained a few positions back, I finished at P9. The third race was with a reversed grid start, and I started P5. I thought that maybe I could go for a podium. I was close but a few hits and a mistake by myself, that wasn’t going to happen. I finished P6. I scored some good points for the team, but I hoped for a few better results.

CC Sim Racing AWRS
On Monday 10-10-2022, was the second round of the CC Sim Racing All Women Racing Series (AWRS), 2x 10 minutes races at Red Bull Ring. I knew my pace was good, and I was going for a win in season 2 of the AWRS! I drove the pole position, I was a bit surprised but very happy about that! After a good start and the rest of the field was fighting with each other, I was away! After a very consistent and fast stint, I gained 8 seconds and took the last 2 laps a bit easier. I finished P1! The second race was reversed grid, which meant I needed to start from the back. I could go to the field a bit difficult, there was a lot of bumping around, and that didn’t make me very happy. I don’t mind starting from the back and passing drivers, but I love to drive hard and clean! I finished P5.
