CC Sim Racing AWRS
On Monday 29-08-2022, was the 4th round of the CC Sim Racing All Women Racing Series. 2 x 10 minutes races, at Autopolis Short. I never drove at Autopolis before, and some practice was required to learn the track. After some good practice, I knew I didn’t have the winning pace, but it would be good enough for the top 4. I qualified P4, but after a good start and first lap, I was in P3. Sophie crashed out, and that gave me a place, I finished P2 in the first race. The second race was with a reversed grid rolling start.

I was on my way for a good result, a top 3 was in there. Unfortunately, I couldn’t brake full right away and overshot the first corner, hit the gravel and that cost me a lot of time and places. I finished in P6, not very happy with that but still in P2 of the championship.

SLP Millennium
On Wednesday 31-08-2022, was the SLP Millennium Race, 90 minutes at Watkins Glen. It was a great race on an amazing track. After a good qualifying, I started P2. I drove in the Bugatti VGT Gr1, with a lot of grip, and very good on the tires. Everyone had more top speed and were flying by on the start. At first I thought “Oh dear, maybe I chose the wrong car”, but during the race I noticed I chose the right car. After avoiding action at the Busstop, I lost a total of a minute.

With fast laps, and a very good strategy, I could do at least 2 pit stops less, and drove quicker and consistent lap times, I gained a lot of time! I won the race, with more than a minute in front of P2. I enjoyed driving the car, and I can’t wait to drive it more!

Racing
On Sunday 11-09-2022, I’m driving my second race for Team BRIT at Anglesey! On Friday 09-09-2022, Steve and I are driving a test day at Anglesey. Which means we are a bit better prepared! I already did some practice in the sim, to learn the track! It is a lot of up and downhill, I think I will love the track in real life!! When I know the streaming link, I will share it on my socials and discord channel! They saying it’s going to rain this weekend, it will be a challenge, but I’m looking forward to it!!

Upcoming races:

  • 09-09-2022: Test day at Anglesey
  • 11-09-2022: Tegiwa Club Enduro Championship, 2 hours race at Anglesey
