SLP European Tour
On Wednesday 27-07-2022, was the final race of the SLP European Tour. 40 Minutes at the Nürburgring, in the Aston Martin GT4. I needed to finish 1st or 2nd, in the race, and the P3 in the championship 3rd or higher. I had my best qualifying in this season, and started P2. The start wasn’t good, for some reason, and I lost some places. I just held my strategy, it was all about keeping the tires alive, and not using too much fuel. I made up some places, the strategy was good, unfortunately the rain was coming. The times that we were practising the rain was very short, and the track was drying quickly. I was behind the driver in P3, and I decided to not pit for inters or wet tires. Looking back, this was the wrong decision, I finished 5th, and 4th in the championship. I was not happy with the result, but considering I missed a race, it’s not too bad. Hopefully, next season the lobby will be better in GT7, and clean and hard fights are possible again!

Replay: Youtube

My first race, on Sunday 31st July got cancelled. Not all the new parts were delivered, and it made the car dangerous to drive. The team worked very hard to get the car ready, parts are very hard to get at the moment. My first race will be the 21st of August, at Silverstone. Hopefully we will get some practice with the Volkswagen Scirocco before the race weekend! I’m looking forward to it, and it will be a very special day!

Behind the scenes
A lot is happening behind the scenes, a merchandise line, videos and pictures, a flyer for events, and a website! The website is going to be built with Darren (Simrace247). I’m really looking forward to seeing the end result, and I’m working hard to get all the text at the moment. Sophie, Shawn, and I designed a flyer, which I can give to companies, to find sponsors! It’s a special one for me, with a bit of history and the future. It is a very exciting time, where a lot of things are happening, which I never expected to happen! It is an amazing and very busy time.

Upcoming races:

  • 03-08-2022 : eTeamBRIT Special; 90 minutes at Interlagos
