SimARG World Race Series
On Saturday 16-04-2022, was the second round of the SimARG World Race Series, 19 laps at Monza, in the Mazda RX7 GT3 Concept. The drivers were Sophie Aeronwen and Yvonne Houffelaar. It was going to be a difficult race, with a lot of fast drivers with A+ ratings (the highest you can get in GTS), and the drivers are having their elbows out. Something Yvonne needs to get used to because she likes to drive hard but clean! After a difficult qualifying, Sophie started at P12 and Yvonne at P11. Yvonne got hit in the first corner and was stuck in the gravel. This meant too much time lost and driving around, just to get some points. Sophie had a better race and had some good fights on track, she finished P11 and Yvonne finished P12. If you want to watch the race back, here are the links;

Exiled Virtual Motorsports – BMW M2 CS Sprint Cup
Martin Buchan (#666) and Daniel Ames (#96) took to Donnington Park for the first round of the BMW M2 CS Sprint Cup hosted by Exiled Virtual Motorsports. Martin was competing in the Pro class and Daniel in the AM class.

Qualifying saw Martin take pole by 2 tenths while Daniel took 10th overall but was still getting used to the new car which had only been released a few weeks ago for ACC.

Race 1 saw Martin take a light to flag victory after his nearest challengers were battling with each other which allowed Martin to gain a gap in the first few laps and then manage the gap in the remaining laps. Daniel managed to hold his position through the whole race and take a deserved P3 in the AM class and 10th overall while improving on his qualifying pace in the race by half a second which proved he was becoming more and more comfortable with each lap

Race 2 saw Martin again lead from the front but his nearest challengers were much closer. On the 5th lap, while defending his position, Martin got tagged slightly and the concertina effect lead to Martin spinning and waiting for a gap u til he could rejoin. P5 overall and 3rd in the PRO class were salvaged. Daniel again showed his improved pace and came home P9 overall and 3rd in AM class. In the standings, Martin currently sits 2nd overall while Daniel is 9th overall and 3rd in AM class.

The next round is on the 10th May at the Nürburgring
