2022 VCO GRAND SLAM IRACING STARTS AT VIRTUAL GREEN HELL

The 2022 VCO grand slam starts very soon in iRacing, kicking things off is a visit to the green hell.

This weekend sees the start of the 2022 VCO grand slam in iRacing take to the track, starting with the green hell Nürburgring 24.

Munich – For the third time since 2020, Virtual Competition Organisation (VCO) will be the partner of four races on the special events calendar of the leading simulation platform, iRacing, this season: the VCO Grand Slams. The first of these will take place this weekend, the iRacing Nürburgring 24, hosted on the virtual version of the legendary Nürburgring-Nordschleife (LIVE on Twitch). The six-hour race of Watkins Glen, Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta, and the 10 Hours of Suzuka are also part of the 2022 Grand Slam programme. Traditionally, VCO enhances these four iRacing events with additional highlights for teams and viewers. All class winners in the ‘top split’ of those teams with the highest iRating receive a coveted VCO Grand Slam trophy. Viewers will also get their money’s worth. The well-known commentary team of Radio Show Limited, with John Hindhaugh, will be on air alongside the RaceSpot TV Esports racing experts. In collaboration with iRacing, VCO will also be awarding five lots of 50 iRacing credits, the virtual currency on the simulation platform, to viewers chosen at random at each event. “The VCO Grand Slams on iRacing are almost a tradition now,” said Florian Haasper, CEO of VCO. “We are very grateful to iRacing for allowing us to be a partner of four of their most prestigious events. The Grand Slams have their own unique character, Nürburgring, Watkins Glen, Road Atlanta and Suzuka present totally different challenges for the teams.
